Bride (Kallah) model

$3,450

“לְכָה דוֹדִי לִקְרַאת כַּלָּה פְּנֵי שַׁבָּת נְקַבְּלָה”

“Come, my beloved, to meet the bride.”

Assaf Kidron designed the bride candlesticks under the inspiration of the liturgical poem, “Come, My Beloved,” which was composed over 400 years ago in the holy city of Tzfat, where he was born.

Rabbi Shlomo Halevi Alkabetz, a student of Rabbi Isaac ben Solomon Luria Ashkenazi (the holy Ari), composed the poem in Tzfat. The Ari’s students went to the fields every Friday night and sang it there, and the custom of singing it on Friday night spread throughout the Jewish world.

This work of art expresses the bond between the beloved, who symbolizes G-d, and his bride, who symbolizes the Jewish people.
