Portable Aron Kodesh
(במדבר י’ לה)…“וַיְהִי בִּנְסֹעַ הָאָרֹן”
“Whenever the Holy Ark traveled…” (Numbers 10:35)
The choice of stone as the material to be used for building the Holy Ark is based on the idea that the Scroll of the Torah, which relates the deeds of the Patriarchs, should be laid among the stones that witnessed the events it chronicles.
Concealed wheels fastened in this Holy Ark make it possible to transport it from place to place. The artwork is appropriate chiefly for halls and rooms used as synagogues and classrooms.
The artist invites those interested to include in the artwork stone from a special place in the Land of Israel that is close to their hearts. A verse or dedication can be engraved on this stone.
