This model was made out of carefully selected stones from the Ma’ale Levona site, the scene of the first heroic victory by Judah the Maccabee and a handful of warriors over the huge army of the Seleucid Greek empire.
This artwork was selected by the Israeli government to be awarded to then-US Vice-President Mike Pence at the conclusion of his historic visit to Israel. It was awarded in a ceremony at the Western Wall in Jerusalem.
