The Holy Temple Model

The Temple model monument is 150 cm (59″) high, with stones gathered from the hills of the holy city of Jerusalem placed around it. This model is in the form of the golden candelabrum in the Holy Temple that the High Priest lit.

When the Maccabees entered the Holy Temple, they saw that the Greeks had desecrated all of the oil, and the candelabrum could therefore not be lit, until one small jar of oil stamped by the High Priest was found. A miracle took place – the oil lasted for eight days.
